Active track and sensor

The Drone Has Cool Active Tracking.

Both the drones offer active tracking 2.0 which works decently on both the drones. This feature will assist as a beginner’s guide and prevent the drone from crashing while playing and filming the videos. It will also give an overall glorious experience.

Active Track Short Video

In the video, we can see how smartly the drone sensor is working on active track mode. Without crashing on the sidewalk and following the object, even the object got hidden by the tree.

Lets Check The Camera Performance

  • Highlights of the camera.

They mount the Mavic 2 zoom with a 1/2.3 inch sensor with 12 megapixels, which is the same as Mavic pro and platinum. The most important is the lens, the lens is a wide-angle lens, i.e., a 24-millimeter lens, but it has an optical zoom that goes to 48 millimeters.

Apart from that, the Mavic 2 Zoom is capable of doing is a super rest 48 megapixels photo by stitching nine photos. Doing this kind of panorama stitching the photos you get are some cool looking pictures.

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro has a 1-inch sensor camera developed by Hasselblad the Swedish Hasselblad company, one-inch sensor 20-megapixel resolution photos, and the amazing 10-bit HDR video, an adjustable aperture from 2.8 to 11 which makes it a beast among drones.

The mavic 2 pro version can film in 4k with the full size of the sensor and on another, the cropped version of the sensor but including the same amount of pixels.

Mavic 2 Pro & Zoom Photo Quality

Now the Mavic 2 Zoom has a couple of settings that set it apart and the pro has a couple of settings that set it apart obviously, the zoom has the 2X optical plus 2X digital zoom for 4X.

However, the pro has the full field of view and the high-quality 4k settings so at its widest angle the zoom has a 24 millimetre or about 83-degree field of view the pro version has two different 4k settings.

Dji mavic 2 pro vs zoom

One is called a full-field of view and one is called high quality the full field of view is about 28 millimeters or 77 degrees field of view and the HQ or the high-quality version punches in even more into the camera sensor for a 55-degree field of view.

Lets Compare The Camera Of Both The Drones

The Mavic 2 Pro has a much warmer kind of yellowish even whereas the Mavic 2 zoom is having a colder color temperature with the same apparent white balance setting

Video Comparison

So that’s a little strange some of you say you like one some of you say that you like the other but the sweet spot may be in the middle that the zoom looks almost too cool and the pro looks almost too warm.

The Mavic 2 pro-at 4k may not look as sharp as the Mavic 2 Zoom, and if sharpness is what you’re going for, then consider that the Mavic 2 Zoom is better than the Mavic 2

The Mavic 2 Zoom has a very sharp 4k at zero sharpness value, but you can raise the sharpness value on the Mavic 2 Pro and you might get something similar. Therefore, it’s not a deal-breaker or anything.

But at the standard default sharpness level, the Mavic 2 Zoom seems to be a little sharper. That sometimes to get more of a cinematic feel you may not want a sharp image when you watch movies and you’re in the cinema you don’t see a sharp image.

summary

Lets Briefly Summarize The Features Of The Drones

  • First the most important is the occu sync 2.0 this newly developed and enhanced occu sync by DJI makes it up to 8-kilometer range far beyond imagination.
  • The drone can live feed in 1080p on your phone and tablet.
  • Both drones can film in h.265 code
  • Both drones can switch the radio frequency from 2.4 to 5.8 gigahertz while you’re flying without you even noticing.
  • Both the drones have 31 minutes of promise flight time.
  • The drones can go up to 72 km/h in sport mode;
  • Both the drone has an Omni-directional sensing system. Which makes it complicated to crash.
  • Both drones have the API systems, which help the drones to bypass some objects and remembering the route afterward, which decreases the chances of a crash.
  • The remote controller is the same. You can do Hyperlapse just by hitting or tapping on one button.
  •  Both the drones now have intelligent flight modes and active track 2.0.
  • Both have three-axis gimbal, which helps them to capture stable images and videos.

Which Mavic 2 is right for you?

The Conclusion

We decide The Mavic 2 Pro will give you images with stunning detail and clarity, and brightly colored HDR video, no matter how bright or dark the environment is.

But if you can shoot cinematic video with a wide zoom drone and a quick focus function or one that has stunning visuals, then the Mavic 2 Zoom may be the right choice for you.

So my thoughts on which drone you should get comes down to what you are going to do with the drone. When it comes to photography, hands-down to Mavic 2 Pro it is amazing because you will outstanding photos.

Now for video, it all depends on how much you’re manipulating the video and how much you’re going to work with it.

If you’re someone who’s going to do a ton of color grading and work with it, then you’ll probably want the Mavic 2 Pro in this drone you have more ability to work with the colors and get some cool-looking footage.

Also, if you’re someone who will not touch the footage at all, the Mavic 2 Pro might be a good option because out of the camera, the footage looks great.

Now the Mavic 2 Zoom is definitely for people who just want to have more cameras in the sky, so not just a wide-lens, you can zoom in.

The camera on the Mavic 2 Zoom is superb and I like it, it’s just not as good as the Mavic 2 Pro. However, if you put a bit of work into grading, you can make the footage look amazing with the Mavic 2 Zoom.

But if you’re just shooting for more story, then you’re going to want the Mavic 2 Zoom. Because the Zoom gives you that added flexibility, it gives you the ability to sit back, zoom in, get some different shots that you wouldn’t get.

With the Mavic 2 Zoom straight out of the camera, it will not look as good as the Pro out of the camera. So if you’re not someone who’s going to do anything in post and you’re just going to shoot straight out of the camera.
